Quantum Physics
Quantum physics is a branch of physics concerned with phenomena on a very small scale, such as molecules, atoms, and subatomic particles. It seeks to describe how these particles interact with energy and how they can exist in multiple states at once, a phenomenon known as superposition. This field challenges our everyday understanding of the world, revealing that reality at its most fundamental level is far stranger than we might otherwise imagine. Quantum physics has numerous applications in technology, including lasers, semiconductors, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and even computers. In the hierarchy "Science/Physics/Dynamics," quantum physics fits naturally as a subfield of dynamics due to its focus on the behavior of particles in motion and their interactions with one another. However, it is also distinct from other areas of physics, requiring specialized mathematical techniques and experimental methods to probe the bizarre world of the very small.
