Classical Mechanics

Definition of Classical Mechanics as it relates to Science, Physics

Classical Mechanics is a branch of Physics that deals with the study of the motion and behavior of physical objects under the influence of forces, within the realm of everyday experience and speeds much lower than the speed of light. It encompasses the principles and laws governing the mechanics of solid bodies, fluids, and systems of particles, as formulated by renowned scientists such as Galileo, Newton, and Kepler. The subject matter includes kinematics, dynamics, statics, and oscillations, among others. Classical Mechanics provides a foundational understanding of the physical world, enabling accurate predictions of how objects will move and interact with one another in various scenarios.
