Definition of Global Health as it relates to Health

Global Health refers to health issues that transcend national boundaries and affect individuals and populations worldwide. It encompasses the study, research, and practice of addressing health disparities and promoting health equity on a global scale. Global Health focuses on understanding the social, environmental, and economic determinants of health and disease in diverse settings, and developing interventions to improve health outcomes for all people, regardless of where they live. It involves collaborative efforts among governments, international organizations, non-governmental agencies, academic institutions, and communities to address complex health challenges such as infectious diseases, chronic conditions, maternal and child health, nutrition, water and sanitation, and environmental health. Global Health also emphasizes the importance of cultural competence, social justice, and human rights in promoting health and well-being for all people, particularly those who are marginalized or vulnerable. Ultimately, Global Health seeks to create a world where everyone has access to quality health care, clean water, nutritious food, and safe living conditions, and where no one is left behind.
