Definition of Global Health as it relates to Health, Health Education

Global health refers to the study and application of knowledge towards improving the health and well-being of populations worldwide, with a focus on addressing disparities and promoting equity in health outcomes. It encompasses various disciplines, including medicine, public health, health education, epidemiology, biostatistics, social sciences, and environmental science, among others. Global health addresses issues that transcend national boundaries, such as infectious diseases, chronic conditions, maternal and child health, mental health, and health systems strengthening. It recognizes the interconnectedness of global health challenges and emphasizes collaboration, multisectoral engagement, and evidence-based approaches to improve health outcomes for all people, regardless of where they live.
