Educational Assessment
Educational Assessment refers to the systematic process of gathering, interpreting, analyzing and using information to improve student learning outcomes, inform educational decisions, and promote accountability in education. It encompasses various methods and techniques used to evaluate students' knowledge, skills, abilities and attitudes in different subject areas or domains. In library science education, assessment is used to measure the effectiveness of library programs and services, while in language education, it is used to assess language proficiency levels. Educational Assessment is grounded in educational theory and research, and seeks to provide valid, reliable and fair measures of student learning that can inform instructional practices, guide curriculum development, and support continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
