Definition of Blended Learning as it relates to Education, Instructional Technology, Educational Games

Blended Learning: A teaching methodology that combines traditional face-to-face instruction with technology-enhanced education, such as educational games and instructional technology platforms, to create a flexible learning environment where students have control over their pace of learning, time, place, path, or mode. It is an approach that provides opportunities for personalized, self-directed, collaborative, and experiential learning experiences, thereby increasing student engagement and motivation to learn, as well as promoting critical thinking skills and digital literacy. Blended Learning aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice by integrating active learning strategies and real-world applications in a seamless manner.
