Figurative Art
Definition of Figurative Art as it relates to Art, Conceptual Art, Postmodern Art
"Ready-Made" refers to a concept in art where ordinary objects, often mass-produced and devoid of personal expression, are presented as works of art simply by being placed in a new context or with minimal alteration. This technique was pioneered by French artist Marcel Duchamp in the early 20th century and has since been embraced by various art movements including Conceptual Art and Pop Art. In Ready-Mades, the focus shifts from the physical creation of an object to the idea or concept behind it, challenging traditional notions of art and authorship.
