Statistical Mechanics
Statistical Mechanics deals with the study of the behavior of systems with a large number of particles, using statistical methods to predict the collective behavior of the particles based on their individual properties. It aims to explain macroscopic properties of matter based on the behavior of its microscopic constituents, such as atoms and molecules. The field incorporates principles of probability theory, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics to describe the thermal and mechanical properties of materials at the atomic and molecular level.
