Rhinoceroses
Rhinoceroses are large herbivorous mammals characterized by their thick skin, horned snouts, and massive bodies. They are native to Africa and Asia, with five extant species: the white rhinoceros, black rhinoceros, Indian rhinoceros, Javan rhinoceros, and Sumatran rhinoceros. Rhinoceroses are known for their solitary nature and formidable appearance, with some species possessing a single horn and others having two. They are vital to their ecosystems as grazers and help maintain the balance of their habitats. Despite their size and strength, rhinoceroses are threatened by poaching and habitat loss, making them a conservation priority worldwide.
