White Rhinoceroses
White Rhinoceroses are large herbivorous mammals with a distinctive square-shaped mouth and broad, flat lips. They have two horns on their snouts, with the front horn being larger than the rear horn. White Rhinoceroses are known for their impressive size, with males weighing up to 2,300 kilograms and females weighing up to 1,700 kilograms. They are native to the grasslands and savannas of southern Africa and are primarily grazers, feeding on grasses and other vegetation. Despite their name, White Rhinoceroses are actually gray in color, with their name believed to be a mistranslation of the Dutch word "wijde," meaning wide, referring to their wide mouth.
