Wild Cats: A subset of Felines, this grouping consists of those species that are not domesticated and live independently in the wild. They are found on every continent except Antarctica and display a wide range of sizes, colors, and behaviors. As members of the Mammals class within the Animal Kingdom, Wild Cats share common characteristics with other mammals such as being warm-blooded, having fur, and nursing their young with milk. Within the Wild Cats subcategory, one may find lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars, cheetahs, and many more species each with unique adaptations to their specific environments.
