Allah

Definition of Allah as it relates to Religions, Monotheism, Yahweh

Allah refers to the supreme being in Islam, a monotheistic religion that shares many beliefs with Judaism and Christianity. In Islamic tradition, Allah is considered the same deity worshipped by Jews and Christians, known as Yahweh in Jewish scripture and God in Christian scripture. Muslims believe that Allah is the one and only god, responsible for creating the universe and guiding humanity through revelation. The Quran, which Muslims believe to be the word of Allah as revealed to the prophet Muhammad, serves as the central religious text of Islam and provides guidance on all aspects of life.
