Ethics

Definition of Ethics as it relates to Religions, Atheism, Existentialism

Ethics under Existentialism involves questioning the nature of one's own existence and how to live a meaningful life. It emphasizes personal responsibility, freedom, and choice, often in the face of a meaningless or absurd universe. This perspective on ethics is distinct from that found in Religions, where moral principles are often based on divine commandments or sacred texts, and Atheism, which may reject the notion of a higher power but still grapples with questions of morality and meaning. In contrast to these views, Existentialist Ethics encourages individuals to create their own values and live authentically, in accordance with their unique understanding of existence.
