Amphibians
Amphibians are cold-blooded vertebrates that live part of their life in water and part on land, making them an intriguing intersection between aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. As such, they offer an exciting avenue for studying parasitology within a zoological context. Parasites can have significant impacts on amphibian populations and individual health, with consequences that ripple throughout the broader environment. Studying these relationships helps us better understand not only amphibians themselves but also the complex web of ecological interactions in which they play a vital role. By exploring parasitic relationships within amphibian communities, we can illuminate fundamental principles in Science and Zoology as well as Parasitology.
