Conservation Biology encompasses the scientific study of Earth's biodiversity, its origins, distribution, and conservation. It is dedicated to preserving species, habitats, and ecosystems while promoting sustainable human-environment interactions. A multidisciplinary field, it draws upon ecology, genetics, zoology, botany, and other biological disciplines, as well as the social sciences and economics.
