Planetary Science
Planetary Science is the scientific study of celestial bodies outside of Earth's atmosphere, including planets, moons, asteroids, comets, and other small solar system bodies. It encompasses a wide range of disciplines, such as geology, physics, chemistry, and astronomy, to understand the composition, internal structure, surface processes, atmospheres, and magnetic fields of these objects. Planetary scientists use various tools and techniques, including spacecraft missions, remote sensing, laboratory experiments, and computer simulations, to gather and analyze data about these celestial bodies. The field is driven by a desire to understand the origins and evolution of our solar system, as well as the potential for life beyond Earth.
