Organizational Change
Organizational Behavior (OB) refers to the study and application of knowledge about how individuals and groups act within organizations. It encompasses understanding, predicting, and managing human behavior in an organizational context to achieve desired outcomes. OB is interdisciplinary, drawing from fields such as psychology, sociology, anthropology, and management. At its core, OB focuses on the interface between the individual and the organization, examining factors that influence employee attitudes, motivation, satisfaction, commitment, performance, and well-being. It also explores group dynamics and processes, leadership, communication, power, politics, culture, structure, change, and conflict in organizations. OB is relevant to all aspects of business, including human resource management (HRM), strategic planning, and other functional areas. By applying OB principles, organizations can create a positive work environment that fosters employee engagement, productivity, and job satisfaction while aligning individual and organizational goals. Ultimately, OB aims to improve organizational effectiveness and success.
