Liocranidae
Liocranidae is an arachnid family characterized by their small, round bodies and eight long, slender legs. They belong to the infraorder Araneomorphae, making them true spiders as opposed to other arachnids such as harvestmen or amblypygi. Members of Liocranidae are typically found in leaf litter and crevices on forest floors, where they hunt for small insects and other invertebrates. They have a distinctive pattern of eye arrangement that sets them apart from other spider families, with six eyes arranged in three pairs along the front of their head. Liocranidae is a diverse family with over 200 species described to date, including both ground-dwelling and web-building species. They are found worldwide, but are most diverse in tropical and subtropical regions.
