Weddell Seal
The Weddell Seal is a species of seal native to the cold waters of Antarctica. They are known for their distinct black and silver coloring, as well as their large size compared to other seal species. Weddell Seals are excellent divers, capable of staying underwater for long periods of time while hunting for fish, squid, and other prey. They are known for their unique vocalizations, which they use to communicate with each other underwater. Weddell Seals are well-adapted to their icy environment, with thick blubber for insulation and strong claws for navigating the slippery ice.
