Stellar Evolution

Stellar evolution refers to the process by which a star changes over time. This includes the birth, life, and death of a star, as it transitions from a protostar to a main sequence star, eventually evolving into a red giant or supergiant, and ending its life cycle as a white dwarf, neutron star, or black hole. Stellar evolution is driven by the balance between the force of gravity pulling inward and the pressure from nuclear fusion pushing outward within a star.
