Komodo Dragon
The Komodo Dragon is a large species of lizard native to the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores, and Gili Motang. It is known for its impressive size, powerful bite, and venomous saliva. Komodo Dragons are apex predators in their habitats, preying on a variety of animals including deer, pigs, and water buffalo. They are capable of taking down prey much larger than themselves through a combination of sharp teeth, strong jaws, and bacterial infections caused by their saliva. These reptiles are solitary creatures and are considered to be a vulnerable species due to habitat loss and human encroachment.
