Horns

Horns are bony, permanent, pointed, and often curved structures that protrude from the heads of various animals, typically mammals. They are composed of keratin, the same material as hair and nails, and are used for defense, mating rituals, establishing dominance, and thermoregulation. Horns come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from the massive curved horns of a ram to the slender, straight horns of an antelope. They are found on a wide range of species, including cattle, goats, sheep, deer, and rhinoceroses.
