Krummhorns
The Krummhorns are a family of traditional, double-reed wind instruments that originated in Germany during the Middle Ages. They are characterized by their curved shape, which gives them their name (translated from German, "Krummhorn" means "bent horn"). Krummhorns produce a rich, mellow tone and are often used in early music ensembles to recreate the sounds of the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
