Pentateuch
The Pentateuch, also known as the Torah or the Five Books of Moses, is the foundational text of Judaism and Christianity. It is the first five books of the Old Testament: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. These books contain the creation story, the early history of humanity, the establishment of the Israelite people, the giving of the Ten Commandments, and the laws and rituals that define Jewish life. The Pentateuch is a rich source of religious teachings, moral lessons, and cultural heritage that continues to shape the beliefs and practices of millions of people around the world. It holds a central place in the Old Testament, which itself is a cornerstone of Christian literature and religious books more broadly.
