Continuous Delivery refers to the ability to get changes of all types—including new features, configuration changes, bug fixes and experiments—into production, or into the hands of users, safely and quickly in a sustainable way. It represents a culture and an engineering practice that aims to reduce the time and cost of delivering applications and services continuously with high quality by allowing for automated testing and deployment of all code changes. In this context, Continuous Delivery is a key part of Application Lifecycle Management and Project Management as it enables faster feedback loops, increased efficiency, and reduced risk in software development and delivery. By streamlining the release process, organizations can more easily adopt agile methodologies and DevOps practices, which in turn can lead to greater innovation, improved customer satisfaction, and a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
