Confucian Ethics
Confucian Ethics emphasizes personal and social virtues aimed at creating harmonious relationships in society. It delves into moral values, righteousness, and benevolence which are fundamental to Taoism as well. Confucius' teachings focus on respect for elders and ancestors, filial piety, sincerity, loyalty, reciprocity (shu) - all of which can be seen as philosophical principles that also resonate with various religions. The concept of 'Jen' or benevolence is particularly significant in this school of thought, encapsulating the idea of love and concern for others without any expectation of reward.
