Reincarnation

Definition of Reincarnation as it relates to Religions, Pantheism, Hindu Ethics

Reincarnation, as understood within Hindu Ethics, posits the cyclical existence of the soul. Upon death, the soul is reborn into a new body, carrying with it the accumulated karma from previous lives. This concept is deeply intertwined with the belief in samsara, the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth, which is in turn influenced by an individual's actions and decisions. Reincarnation serves as a mechanism for ethical growth and spiritual evolution, emphasizing the importance of leading a virtuous life to attain a favorable rebirth and eventually achieve moksha, or liberation from the cycle of rebirth.
