Mormonism

Definition of Mormonism as it relates to Religions, Deism, Types Of Religions

Mormonism, also known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is a religion founded in the early 19th century in the United States. It traces its origins to the prophet Joseph Smith and the publication of the Book of Mormon. Mormonism has unique beliefs and practices that distinguish it from other forms of Christianity, such as the belief in ongoing revelation through living prophets and the practice of baptism for the dead. As a subset of "Types of Religions," Mormonism represents one of many distinct religious traditions, each with its own history, beliefs, and practices. It is also related to the broader categories of "Religions" and "Deism" as it shares some commonalities with other religious systems such as belief in a higher power or divine being and the existence of a moral code or set of teachings.
