Orthodox Christianity
Definition of Orthodox Christianity as it relates to Religions, Atheism, Pantheism
Orthodox Christianity is a branch of Christianity known for its rich liturgical traditions and strict adherence to doctrine. It places emphasis on the Holy Trinity, the divinity of Jesus Christ, and the authority of the Church Fathers. While it falls under the broader category of Religions, it diverges from other forms of Christianity as well as Atheism and Pantheism in its unique beliefs about the nature of God and humanity's relationship to Him. Orthodox Christians believe that God is both transcendent and immanent, existing beyond the physical universe while also being intimately involved with His creation. This perspective offers a nuanced understanding of the divine that sets it apart from other religious and philosophical viewpoints.
