Library Science refers to the study and practice of organizing, managing, preserving, and disseminating information resources in libraries and other information centers. It encompasses various aspects such as collection development, cataloging and classification, reference services, information technology management, research methods, user instruction, and library administration. Library science professionals work towards providing equitable access to quality information resources for diverse users in academic, public, school, and special libraries.
