Postmodern Art

Definition of Postmodern Art as it relates to Art, Conceptual Art, Minimalist Art

Neoplasticism is an artistic movement originating in the Netherlands during the early 20th century, characterized by its emphasis on pure abstraction and the use of geometric forms and primary colors. It is based on the idea that art should not represent or imitate the physical world, but instead should express the artist's inner world and spirituality. The movement was founded by painter Piet Mondrian and artist Theo van Doesburg, who together published the magazine "De Stijl" (The Style) to promote their ideas. Neoplasticism is also known as "De Stijl" movement. It had a significant influence on modern art, particularly in the areas of abstract painting and architecture.
