Sparassidae
Sparassidae, commonly known as huntsman spiders, are a family of Arachnids belonging to the order Amblypygi, which also includes harvestmen and other related species. These nocturnal animals are found worldwide, particularly in warmer regions, and are characterized by their long, slender legs, large, flat bodies, and keen eyesight. Sparassidae spiders are adept hunters, using their strong forelimbs to capture prey, which they then inject with venom through their fangs. While not aggressive towards humans, they can deliver a painful bite if provoked or threatened. Despite their somewhat intimidating appearance, these spiders play an important role in controlling insect populations and maintaining the balance of ecosystems.
