Green Tree Frog
The Green Tree Frog is a small arboreal frog native to Australia and New Guinea. It is known for its bright green coloration, large, sticky toe pads, and distinctive white or gold stripe that runs from its nostril down to its groin. Green Tree Frogs are nocturnal and primarily feed on insects. They are often found near water sources such as ponds, swamps, and streams, where they lay their eggs in clusters attached to vegetation. These frogs play an important role in their ecosystems as both predator and prey.
