Tenrikyo

Tenrikyo is a Japanese new religious movement founded in the 19th century by Miki Nakayama. It emphasizes the teachings of a single god, Tenri-O-no-Mikoto, who is believed to be the source of all creation and the ultimate parent of humanity. Followers of Tenrikyo strive to live a life of gratitude, compassion, and joy, with the goal of achieving world peace and harmony through the practice of charity, self-reflection, and spiritual growth. Central to Tenrikyo's beliefs is the concept of "sahō no kokoro," or a mind of sincerity and openness towards others. The religion also places importance on communal worship, faith healing, and the performance of rituals such as the Kagura dance.
