Tarantula Anatomy
The anatomy of a tarantula refers to the physical structure and features of these large, hairy spiders. This includes their eight legs, two body segments (cephalothorax and abdomen), fangs for injecting venom, pedipalps used for sensing and handling prey, spinnerets for producing silk, and multiple eyes for detecting movement and light. Tarantulas also have specialized hairs called setae that help with both sensing their surroundings and defense mechanisms.
