Soil Science
Soil science is the study of the properties, composition, and processes of soil as a natural resource. It encompasses the physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of soil, as well as how soil interacts with plants, animals, and the environment. Researchers in soil science analyze soil fertility, structure, and erosion, in order to improve agricultural practices, protect ecosystems, and promote sustainable land use.
