Semimetal

A semimetal is a type of material that exhibits properties of both metals and nonmetals. It typically has a conductivity between that of metals and insulators, making it a unique class of materials with intermediate electronic behavior. Semimetals often have interesting electronic and magnetic properties, and are used in various applications such as electronics, thermoelectric devices, and catalysis.
