Paleoecology
Paleoecology is the scientific study of ancient ecosystems and how they have evolved over time. It involves analyzing the interactions between plants, animals, and their environments in the distant past, using fossils, sedimentary rocks, and other geological evidence to reconstruct what life was like in prehistoric times. Paleoecologists seek to understand how species have adapted to changing climates and environments, and how these ancient ecosystems have shaped the world we live in today.
