Northern Cardinals
Northern Cardinals are medium-sized songbirds with a distinctive red plumage, crested heads, and powerful bills. The males are vibrant red all over with a black mask on their face, while the females are a more subtle reddish-brown color with touches of red on their wings and tail. These birds are known for their loud, clear whistling songs and are commonly found in gardens, woodlands, and shrubby areas throughout North America.
