National League

The National League is one of the two major professional baseball leagues in the United States and Canada. It was established in 1876 and consists of 15 teams, with 3 divisions (East, Central, and West). The National League follows a traditional style of play, with pitchers batting instead of using a designated hitter like in the American League. The league has a rich history and has produced numerous Hall of Fame players and iconic moments in baseball history.
