Mangonel
A mangonel is a type of medieval siege weapon that uses torsion to launch projectiles at high speeds. It consists of a long wooden arm with a sling at one end and a counterweight at the other. When the counterweight is released, it causes the arm to pivot and fling the projectile towards its target. Mangonels were commonly used in warfare during the Middle Ages to breach castle walls and fortifications.
