Language Pathology

Language pathology is the study and treatment of communication disorders, which can affect speech, language, and cognitive-communication. It involves assessing and diagnosing individuals with communication impairments, as well as providing therapy to help improve their ability to communicate effectively. Language pathology can encompass a wide range of conditions, including speech sound disorders, language delays, fluency disorders (such as stuttering), and cognitive-communication disorders resulting from neurological conditions like stroke or traumatic brain injury. The goal of language pathology is to help individuals overcome their communication challenges and improve their quality of life.
