King Cobra
The King Cobra is a highly venomous snake species found predominantly in forests across Southeast Asia. Known for its distinctive hood and ability to raise up to one-third of its body off the ground, the King Cobra is the longest venomous snake in the world, reaching lengths of up to 18 feet. Its diet consists mainly of other snakes, including smaller cobras, and it is capable of delivering a lethal dose of venom through its long, hollow fangs. Despite its fearsome reputation, the King Cobra plays a crucial role in maintaining the balance of ecosystems as a top predator.
