Italian Greyhound
The Italian Greyhound, also known simply as the "Iggy," is a small breed of sighthound that originated in Italy and is related to the larger Greyhound. These dogs are characterized by their slender bodies, long legs, and short, smooth coats which come in a variety of colors and patterns. Italian Greyhounds are known for their gentle and affectionate nature, making them excellent companions. They are intelligent and trainable, but can be sensitive and require gentle handling. As members of the Hound group, Italian Greyhounds have a strong prey drive and may not get along well with small animals. They are a part of the Canine family and share many physical and behavioral characteristics with other dogs. As Mammals, they are warm-blooded vertebrates that nurse their young with milk, and as Animals, they are living organisms that can move independently of their surroundings.
