Cantonese Chinese is a specific dialect of the Traditional Chinese Language, which is itself a form of Chinese written using traditional characters. Cantonese Chinese is spoken in the Guangdong province of China, as well as in Hong Kong and Macau. It differs from other forms of Chinese in terms of pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. Cantonese Chinese is also one of the most widely spoken varieties of Chinese outside of mainland China, with a significant number of speakers in communities around the world, particularly in Southeast Asia. In written form, Cantonese Chinese uses the same traditional characters as other forms of Traditional Chinese, but may include unique vocabulary and grammatical structures that are not found in other dialects.
