African Lion
The African Lion is a large feline species native to the continent of Africa. They are a part of the larger family of mammals known as Big Cats, which also includes other large cat species such as tigers and leopards. As a member of the Cat Species, they share many characteristics with other felines, including retractable claws, sharp teeth, and agile bodies adapted for hunting. Within the Lion category, African Lions are distinguished by their unique geographical distribution, being found primarily in sub-Saharan Africa. They exhibit a range of behaviors and physical adaptations that make them well-suited to their environment, including living and hunting in prides, which are groups of lions consisting mainly of females and cubs.
