Slavic Paganism
Slavic Paganism, also known as Slavic Native Faith, refers to the ethnic religion practiced by the Slavic peoples prior to Christianization. It encompasses a variety of beliefs and practices that are deeply rooted in the culture, mythology, and history of the Slavs. At its core, Slavic Paganism is an animistic and polytheistic faith that recognizes the divinity of natural forces and elements, as well as a pantheon of gods and goddesses who embody various aspects of life, such as fertility, warfare, and wisdom. Worship and rituals often take place in sacred spaces such as forests, rivers, and hills, and may involve offerings, prayers, and communal feasting. Despite the suppression of Slavic Paganism during the spread of Christianity, it has continued to persist and evolve among certain communities, and is experiencing a resurgence in popularity in contemporary times.
