Shinto Priests are individuals who have been trained and initiated into the role of serving and maintaining the spiritual well-being of their communities, as well as the proper functioning of Shinto shrines. They carry out various rituals and ceremonies to ensure harmony and blessings from the kami, or spirits. Their role is essential in preserving and passing down the traditions and teachings of Shinto, one of the major religions in Japan, while being distinct from atheism which does not acknowledge the existence of deities or spiritual beings.
