In the context of Broadband, it involves securing broadband networks against cyber threats such as malware, phishing, and denial-of-service attacks. This includes implementing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and virtual private networks (VPNs) to protect the integrity and confidentiality of data transmitted over broadband connections. Network Security in this hierarchy also covers securing Internet of Things (IoT) devices connected to broadband networks, as they are often vulnerable to attacks due to their widespread use and limited security features. Overall, Network Security plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of broadband networks and IoT devices, protecting users' data and privacy, and preventing financial losses due to cybercrime.
