Topology
Topology is the study of spatial properties and spatial relationships that are preserved under continuous transformations, such as stretching and bending, but not tearing or gluing. It is concerned with the properties of spaces that do not change when the space is deformed in this way. In the context of graph theory, topology focuses on the study of the connectivity and continuity of graphs, considering how vertices and edges can be rearranged while preserving important structural features. This subcategory is closely related to geometry and algebraic topology, and it has applications in many areas of mathematics and science, including network analysis, data visualization, and physics.
